AEG L61271BI (Discontinued)

Sorry, the AEG L61271BI is no longer available

The key feature of this AEG built in washing machine is the 7 kg drum which is tough enough to take larger and heavier loads than the average integrated unit meaning it’s great for a family of 3-4.  It has an A++ energy rating which will save you 20% off your fuel bill. Taken together these features make it a value for money appliance. The AEG 161271B1 retails at £579 and is built-in to your kitchen giving a seamless, clean finish and leaving your kitchen with its original style. Dimensions are; height 82.0 x width 59.6 x depth 54.4. This model comes with a 2 year warranty.

Most customers who reviewed the product were absolutely delighted saying it was the best integrated washing machine they had ever owned. Many said it was quiet (72dB on spin mode) and economical to run with a large variety of different programmes, including for example, an excellent wool cycle. A minor complaint however was that the previous AEG model had an option  to add a fabric softener but this feature seemed to be missing from this new version. They added however that the appliance was still well worth the money.

This model also features an aqua alarm system which will sound if the unit starts to leak, thereby avoiding those disastrous floods and allowing you to tend to the problem in time.

It was also said as a criticism however that the cycles take quite a long time, up to 3 hours, but that the clothes washed splendidly and didn’t come out creased. It must be pointed out though that there is a programme for a shorter cycle. There are many programmes for various fabric requirements spin speeds, temperature and cycle time, there is also a delay facility. The drum spins at 1200 rpm at top speed making drying times shorter. Satisfied customers said it was easy to use, good quality, looked good and had great wash results. Few regretted buying it. In conclusion the large capacity makes this machine an economical, practical buy for larger families or families with lots of linen.

  1. Just over two years of use and just outside warranty the bearings have failed (medium use about 4-5 times use per week). Therefore lack of vfm on an already fulsome price outweighs all other aspects.

  2. I bought this after reading lots of great reviews and have not been disappointed. The only catch is the price but it’s a really great machine. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for an integrated machine for a family.
